SUMMARY:Beach + Bayside Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Join SOLVE\, Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS (www.netartsbaywebs.org)\, Oceanside Surf Co./Current Cafe\, Netarts Oceanside Fire\, and other Tillamook County partners to clean up the areas around Netarts and Oceanside on September 21 from 10 AM – 1 PM. Friends of Netarts Bay WEBS members and our partners have been working with SOLVE to host cleanups in the area from Cape Lookout to Cape Meares to Bay Ocean for over a deca \nde. Join us this year and help us protect marine life and maintain the beauty of our coast. This beach cleanup is family-friendly\, and dog-friendly. Volunteers of all ages will find the event fun and rewarding. \nKeep it safe and fun! Remember our ocean shores can be dangerous. Avoid logs in the water. Keep your distance from marine mammals\, and never turn your back on the ocean! If you find any hazardous material\, please alert your Beach Captain. And remember\, it’s more fun to work as part of a team. Bring a buddy\, stay safe\, and have fun! \nRegistration: Advanced registration saves time but is not required. \nCheck-in for this event at any of the following locations: \n\nNetarts Boat Basin 2065 Netarts Basin Boat Rd\, Tillamook\, OR 97141\nOceanside Surf Co./ Current Cafe 1505 Pacific Ave\, Oceanside\, OR 97134\n\nAdvanced Registration: Is required. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts. \nWhat’s Provided: WEBS will provide gloves\, bags\, and a small selection of trash grabbers. \nRestrooms: There are public bathrooms at both check-in locations. \nParking: There is public parking in multiple locations at either check-in site. Once you arrive\, our volunteers and staff will help direct you to a section of beach to clean as part of this effort. Day passes for county parks are provided. \nTransit: There is public transportation available to Netarts and Oceanside from various points along the coast and Portland.
