Host: Tillamook Estuaries Partnership

Event Type:

Spring into action in TEP’s greenhouse!

Help restore coastal wildlife habitat by thinning and spacing native plant seedlings! These plants are provided to local restoration projects designed to improve water quality and pollinator habitat!

The events will be held various Thursdays and Fridays throughout May and June and will all take place at TEP’s Native Plant Nursery located on the Port of Tillamook. Volunteers will be given a brief training and then let loose to help thin the overcrowded seedlings. This step of the process is vital in order to increase airflow, sunlight, and for the plants to have room to grow throughout the summer

We are extremely excited to open our doors back up to these events and we hope to see you there!

How to come prepared:

• Layers – Depending on greenhouse space, some individuals may work outside, so please dress for the weather. The greenhouse stays at least 10 degrees warmer than the ambient temperature.

• Outdoor shoes, such as boots, are recommended.

• Gardening/Nursery gloves, if you have them.

• Water and snacks, even though we will provide some snacks.

Directions to the site and additional information will be sent to registered attendees the week of the event.

**Must be 18 or over to attend** We have a fantastic partnership with Oregon Youth Authority and rely on the Camp Tillamook incarcerated youth as our operations crew at the nursery. Therefore, we are unable to have minors on the property during our volunteer days.
