Ages 12+HikeWalk
Join marine biologist Jim Young to explore the salt marsh in Netarts Bay! We’ll start indoors with a presentation focused on the plants and animals of the marsh, and their unique adaptations to survive in such a salty world. Then we will head outside for a guided walk to explore the marsh for ourselves.
This field-based tour includes a 1.5 to 3-mile walk through muddy, wet sand, and loose sand areas. Trails may be covered by brush. This program is best suited for participants 12 years and older who are comfortable walking in these environments.
